“Days can be sunny, with never a sigh

Don’t need what money can buy

Birds in the trees sing their day full of song

Why shouldn’t we sing along?

I’m chipper all the day, happy with my lot

How do I get that way? Look at what I’ve got

I got rhythm, I got music

I got my gal

Who could ask for anything more?

I got daisys, in green pastures

I got my gal

Who could ask for anything more?

Old man trouble

I don’t mind him

You won’t find him ’round my door

I got starlight

I got sweet dreams

I got my gal

Who could ask for anything more ?”

Our Adventure Begins…

October 25, 2009

Jon and I left the country for three months. Yep, three months. I’m not sure why we chose the most beautiful season in New England to leave but we did. Two months (Oct 5 – Dec 5) sabbatical, visiting friends in the U.K. and Europe and then off to Cambodia for almost a month to work with my non-profit Love146 (Love146 combats child sex slavery and exploitation and cares for survivors).

We’ve been gone almost three weeks so I have a bit to catch you up on!

First let me say that I’m a people photographer through and through so photographing anything other than people is a good challenge!

Oxford.

Jon (my husband) was born in Oxford so it has long been a dream of mine to go there with him. We walked down paths and streets that he remembered as a child, it was wonderful. Jon’s brother Mark is studying early music (apparently it runs in the family) this year so we also got to catch up with him!
